Edith Moore herself lived on this land for 43 years. In 1978 she donated a small section to the Houston Audubon Society for use as a nature preserve for birds. Her husband even built the little log cabin that was renovated to house the headquarters, bookstore, and gift shop of the Audubon Society. Donations are appreciated.

The brewery turns out craft brews in several categories: the "starting lineup" of regular year-round beers, the "seasonal lineup", limited release beers and their "F.U.N Series."
