The Buttercream Bakeshoppe is a Calgary-based bakeshop that specializes in handmade, moist, creamy-to-the-last cupcakes, cookies, and cakes. Their cupcakes are so popular that people don't mind lining up even for just a single cupcake to go. They offer 56 different cupcakes with names such as Canadian maple, Watermelon and Kiwi, even a Moccacino cupcake. Buttercream Bakeshoppe's cakes are also works of art.

It has become a favorite dining destination for those who live in the northern communities. With hearty and hot rice noodle soups, a side order of spring rolls, crispy fried quails and stir fries, one has to keep coming back to sample the eats of Saigon Pearl. Finish a meal with iced coffee and a serving of deep fried bananas topped with ice cream.

Those sitting outside will be welcomed by the large golden statue of Buddha, beaming away.
