»Crystal Cathedral

Constructed from more than 10,000 plates of glass, the Crystal Cathedral is packed with more than 3000 seated worshipers every Sunday for service, as well as hundreds more who experience drive-in worship in the parking lot, via nine-story tall sliding glass doors which allow them to view the service. The cathedral is also most famous as the filming place of Dr. Robert H. Schuller's "Hour of Power" TV show. Because of the popularity of the Sunday services, you should arrive at least a half hour early if you plan to attend. Come Christmas season, don't miss their Glory of Christmas presentation.

»Disney's California Adventure

In this era of fluctuating gas prices, why burn precious fuel seeing all the wondrous and storied sights of the Golden State? This Disney theme park is your one-stop shop for everything California! Tour Hollywood back lots, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the San Francisco Bay Area, and a contemporary re-imagining of the party-pier amusement parks of 1940s Santa Monica - all without ever leaving the convenience of a single city block in downtown Anaheim. You can also pay a visit to Radiator Springs at Cars Land, the themed land dedicated to the hit movie Cars. Thrill rides here go above and beyond the kiddie fare at neighboring Disneyland, and the concession stands offer beer, wine and margaritas. The "oceanfront" bandstand plays host to classic California mainstays like the Beach Boys and Kool & The Gang, solidifying the location's reputation as a theme park destination truly fun for the whole family.

The Angel Stadium of Anaheim is the home of the Angels, a Major League Baseball team of the American League. The stadium is a modern-style ballpark, used to host professional baseball and football apart from major concerts, high school and college baseball and football games. One of the unique features is the terraced bullpens in the outfield. In addition to the usual eateries, the stadium includes three full-service restaurants - The KnotHole Club, The Diamond Club and the Homeplate Club. The parking lot can be accessed via three entrances and opens two and a half hours prior to any event held here.

»Noble Ale Works

Noble Ale Works is a microbrewery located right next to Angels Stadium. The tasting room is bedecked with Anaheim Angels paraphernalia, from banners to signed jerseys. Aside from this and their TV (to watch Angels games, of course), the decor is spartan, all the better to not distract from the main attraction, the beer. At the tasting room, you can sample 12 beers on tap, most of them their special seasonal beers, although of course regular year-round beers are available too. Beers on tap rotate often, so multiple trips can result in completely different experiences every time. Aside from regular open hours, the tasting room is also open before, during and after any Angels or Ducks home games.

»Vans Skate Park

This place is a skateboarder's dream. The 20,000-square-foot course, in addition to the 80-foot vertical ramp, attracts both skaters and spectators who like to watch the shredding action. All skaters are required to wear protective gear (either renting it onsite or bringing their own) and sign a release form. Minors need a guardian to sign as well. Membership costs $50 per year but non-members are also welcome. Once you get through all the technical requirements, you're ready to skate!

»Mighty Ducks of Anaheim

If a day at the "Magic Kingdom" hasn't Disney-ed you out, head over to the sparkling Arrowhead Pond for some more family-friendly entertainment courtesy of the Mouse House. Named after the kiddie-flick trilogy, the Mighty Ducks game is a family-friendly experience, with squeaky-clean marquee players like Paul Kariya and Teemu Selanne replacing the brawlers like Stu "The Grim Reaper" Grimson that filled out the lineup in the team's expansion-draft years. The team even plays a decent game of hockey, but that is incidental to the family fun. Stay tuned for upcoming season schedule.
