Holy Cross Orthodox Church began as a mission parish in 1993 with just six families. From there the church has grown massively, now holding a community of 150 members. The Church plays host to various services, choir activities and a Sunday school based on the scriptures and traditions. The Holy Cross parish holds a strong belief in the Holy Orthodox Church. The current building that houses the church dates back to 1911 and was initially a Methodist church. It became home of the Holy Cross church in 1998 and was marked as a historic landmark by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
The Congregation of the St. John Lutheran Church emerged from a local Sunday school service held by a few locals. A need for imparting Christian lessons was felt by the community which resulted in the formation of this Lutheran congregation in 1919. The church grew over the years playing an important role in nurturing the local community. The current structure was built in 1959 and additional facilities for cultural and educational purposes were added. It currently hosts various programs for families and the youth as well as Sunday school.
