Located in the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, the Weatherspoon Museum of Art has collected almost 6000 pieces of modern and contemporary art, and is regarded as one of the best art museums in the Southeast. The permanent collection features works by famous artists like Andy Warhol, Willem de Kooning, Alexander Calder and Sol le Witt, but the gallery also regularly features small exhibits from emerging artists. In collaboration with the UNC Department of Art, The Falk Visiting Artist program showcases the work of guest artists every year.
