The Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral is historic church located in Bardstown, Kentucky. Built in 1823, this Catholic parish was constructed by John Rogers using Greek Revival style influences. The church also features a number of paintings donated by notable personalities like King Louis-Philippe of France. This cathedral is also the first one to be built west of the Allegheny mountains. The site was included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Established in 1812, Saint Thomas is the earliest Catholic church in the state and is regarded as 'The Cradle of Catholicism in Kentucky'. The church is a brick structure, nestled to the south of Bardstown. Featuring beautiful Greek Revival architecture, the church was designed by Maximilian Godefroy. A walkway at the entrance of the church, includes stone plaques that takes visitors through the history of the church.
Located on the outskirts of Springfield, St. Rose is a historic Catholic religious complex. This priory is home to the Dominican order of saints. The credit for the establishment of the St. Rose Roman Catholic Church Complex go to priest Edward Dominic Fenwick, who later became the bishop of Cincinnati. It included the priory, church and a school. They were brick buildings that featured Tudor architecture.
The St. Dominic's Catholic Church is a Thompson Romanesque style church which was established in 1890. The congregation continues to function even today. Services are held routinely at the church. The church building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989 owing to its beautiful architecture and design.
