Canadian singer-songwriter Leon Redbone is a staple of North American musical history. Combining his love of blues, ragtime jazz and folk music, Redbone has defined a truly unique artistic identity for himself, dressing in vaudevillian attire when he plays and capturing a bygone era both musically and aesthetically as a result. Redbone became particularly well known when he began making regular appearances on the Johnny Carson show, launching his career to commercial heights he hadn't expected. Redbone continues to tour with relative frequency and commands an attentive crowd to this day.
