Throughout the day we'll have local musicians performing between the stages! The bar, & kitchen will be open so bring your friends & your family too!We will also host a chinese raffle and 50/50 raffle to raise money for a local charity as well! So bring some extra money if you'd like to support a good cause, and maybe win some awesome prizes! You will be able to pick up anything you won and at any point throughout the day, or we will be mailing them out after the ceremony as well to anyone who lets us know where they'd like their awards sent! Our winners list will first be available at the ceremony, then posted online after!---About the ALL WNY Music Awards:It's not a matter of who wins & loses, this is an attempt to bring the scene together and give recognition to those who put good work in. What you 'win' is having other people notice your band or organization. If someone likes other acts similar to yours, and sees your act associated with them, it can help get yours noticed as well. If someone is looking to get some new gear or things for their band, there's a posted list of places you can check out in the area. That's the thought behind it, not popularity or seeing who is the best in any way. It's all for fun, we are not in a competition our neighbors in the same scene. Each year we give out certificates to the Top 3 in votes for each award, along with some 'Judges Picks' from friendly organizations in the local scene.Voting is counted through online polls, each person may vote once in each of our 50 categories :)If you have ideas/suggestions/or would like to help out in any way let us know! We want to hear everyone's ideas on how to make this help everyone it can :)

    Fitz and The Tantrums
Water Street Music HallSeptember 02, 2014 7:00 PM
    204 North Water Street
    Rochester, NY 14604
While Fitz and the Tantrums looks like a band straight out of the 1960s, complete with a horn section decked out in white suits and a soulful front woman in a form-fitting, glitzy gown, the band's music is surprisingly not a direct replica of 1960s soul. This era is certainly the Los Angeles-based, seven-piece group's primary influence, but instead of producing completely retro music, the band incorporates enough modern elements to be considered a neo-soul group that would satisfy the tastes of mainstream pop-rock audiences. Further proving this ability to fit in with the mainstream, Fitz and the Tantrums toured with Maroon 5 after its debut album Pickin' Up the Pieces, in 2010 and won over fans across the US.
