    »St Catherine of Siena Church

St Catherine of Siena Church was originally established at Horse Fair in 1874, however in 1964 the church was bought by the City Council as part of a development scheme and torn down. The existing church building was constructed that same year to accommodate the original church's thriving congregation. Regular services are held at the church in the Catholic tradition evey Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Apart from serving all those who come to the church seeking spiritual guidance, the church is also closely linked to the St Catherine of Siena Catholic Primary School and familiarizes the pupils with the religious sacraments.

    »Birmingham School of Art

This city center red brick building, adjacent to the Birmingham and Midland Institute, is a fine Victorian edifice that was built in 1885 as a Municipal Art School. It still serves a similar purpose, as it is currently occupied by the University of Central England's Art Department. Look out in particular for the beautifully carved rose window. It is not normally open to the public, but is occasionally opened on special heritage days and open days. However, you don't need to get inside to appreciate its architectural beauty.
