Exhibiting the past of this county, The Pioneer Museum is housed within what used to be the county jail. Artifacts and photographs recall the development of the county to its present day. The Children's Museum of Bozeman is a delightful hub dedicated to pre-schoolers, toddlers and teenagers who can enjoy themselves and meet other kids. Summer camps, fun workshops, youth intern programs and special events for Halloween are what can be expected here. Private and birthday parties can also be organized in a room where puppet shows, bubbles, fancy dress, pinball and craft activities are organized for the chirruping kids. Check website for details.
Museum of the Rockies or MOR as it's commonly called was set up in 1957 by Caroline McGill. Housing within it an unbelievable 300,000 objects spanning over 500,000 years of history, this museum has caught the fancy of young school kids and old researchers too, who are impressed by the mammoth dinosaur exhibits, American Indian artifacts, the planetarium and exciting temporary exhibitions. The stunning permanent exhibitions are all about the evolution of the Rockies mountains since the past 4 billion years!
Established in 1990, the American Computer Museum aims to acquaint visitors with the history of computers and the development of technology with the help of exhibits and artifacts.

Built in 1902, the historic Livingston Depot was the Northern Pacific Railroad's original access to Yellowstone National Park. Operated by the Livingston Depot Foundation, this museum is dedicated to preserving the historic Livingston Depot. Open from May to October, the Livingston Depot Center features historic exhibits and cultural programs.
Set inside a 3-storey high old school building, the Yellowstone Gateway Museum of Park County traces the history of Montana through its well-preserved artifacts and exhibitions. The displays include fossils, old tools, carvings, utensils, wagons and much more. Free parking is available on the street outside, and a well-stocked gift shop allows visitors to pick up some delightful souvenirs.
