The Players Theater opened its doors in 1936 when the Players Association, a group of theater enthusiasts, decided to showcase local talent and bring forth the best act. Later, however, the theater was refurbished twice and was acoustically upgraded and the seating capacity was increased too, making it grand enough to accommodate 500 at a time. Besides dramas, the theater also hosts workshops and literary events conducted by the association. Check website for details.
