The sprawling facility is into various sections and features tons of interactive exhibits, presentations as well as activities aimed at making science, as interesting as possible. From the Prototype Lab, where new ideas are tested with inputs from visitors to the 'Being Human' section where visitors can truly understand what it means to be human, there's a distinct freshness to this center which differentiates it from other such facilities. The 'Digital Dome Theatre' renders a rich audio-visual experience, and the various shows should not be missed here. The exhibits span all age groups, so there's something for everyone. »Calgary Elks Lodge & Golf Club

After decades in operation, this semi-private club course has a seasoned, mature feel to it in comparison to the courses surrounding it. The course plays from four different tees with total lengths ranging from 5,376 to 7,051 yards. The course winds along the Nose Creek Valley, and water comes into play on several holes. Since Calgary Elks Lodge & Golf Club is semi-private, there are some access restrictions for non-members. To round out the experience, the facility boasts a driving range, putting greens and a fully stocked pro-shop.

The Centre Street Church is one of the most vibrant and alive church communities in Calgary. »Pearce Estate Wetland

Like many of Calgary's parks, Pearce Estate Wetlands is recreational, educational and environmental. The 21-hectare (52-acre) parkland was donated by William Pearce, who made the area his home and used it for agricultural purposes. He later donated the estate to the city of Calgary. This park has a balsam poplar forest and wetlands that are home to a variety of wildlife and birds. The park has interpretive trails and is also home to the Sam Livingstone Fish Hatchery Centre.

»Fort Calgary

This center gives visitors a hands-on look at early Calgary life. Fort Calgary lies on 16 hectares (40 acres) of riverside park. The interpretive center reconstructs the original 1875 fort, a facility North-West Mounted Police built after being dispatched from the settled east to establish law and order among pioneers, and to stop the culturally devastating whiskey trade. Children will love trying on the officers uniforms laid out, or exploring the interiors of the old prison. Visitors can grab a bite, or indeed a shot of whiskey at The Deane House, the on-site restaurant.

»The Lantern

Erected in 1912, the Lantern Church or The Lantern is also referred to as the Lantern Community Church. Apart from religious services, it also hosts events like concerts, film festivals and so forth. It is the base of the Inglewood Music Club, who brings music shows to this beautiful place.
