The Italianate styled structure is spread around 12 acres (4.85 hectares) of land. Established in 1852, it ranks among best Catholic schools in the country given its exceptional academic and civic education.

    Established in 1859, Mount Gilboa Chapel is an African Methodist Episcopal Church. The front of the church features Ashlar masonry stone, while the sides and the back portion comprise of rubble. Apart from regular Sunday masses, interactive Bible study sessions and gatherings are organized at this parish. It is believed that Benjamin Banneker, a renowned free African American scholar, was a regular attendee of this church.
