Located in Cheyenne, the Cheyenne Depot Museum is housed inside the Union Pacific Depot. This museum traces the history and formation of Cheyenne during construction of the Transcontinental Railroad.

Carriages, including one owned by Buffalo Bill Cody; sleighs, pistols, rifles, saddles, an old blacksmith shop, a late 1800's bedroom, "one of the oldest Buick cars in the world," and much more can be seen at Messenger's Old West Museum in Cheyenne.
The Nelson Museum of the West is a preservation of arts and crafts from different places. It also has displays of the military during World War I and World War II and has a wonderful display of the cowboy life. It was originally opened to be a high-end women's apparel store.
Located in the charming city of Cheyenne, the Wyoming State Museum is one precious center which gives a comprehensive overview of the history of the state of Wyoming. Visitors are stunned by how the century-old exhibits ranging from weapons to fossils have been preserved. The permanent exhibits are without a doubt the star attraction however, traveling exhibits with collaborations from other museums are also eagerly looked forward too.
