Scranton, PA
Christina Perri is a tattooed singer-songwriter from Philadelphia who came into the professional spotlight in 2010 when Billy Bell and Kathryn McCormick, two contestants on So You Think You Can Dance, did a brilliant performance set to her song "Jar of Hearts". Perri has a definitive rocker's personality when it comes to writing songs like "Bang, Bang, Bang" where she lets a bit of grit come out of her voice during the bitter choruses when she sings a story about a girl shooting her ex-boyfriend "Bang she shot you, karma tastes so sweet". Live, Christina Perri often plays acoustic guitar, even though on her albums she favors a heavy piano sound.
