The restaurant is adapted to its environment: the servers will perform Broadway songs and time meals to match the plays their customers are attending. The menu is even organized as a playbill, with appetizers as the Overture, salads and entrées as Act One and Two, respectively, and desserts as the Grand Finale. Entrées include Maryland Crab Stuffed Rainbow Trout with risotto, Australian Lamb Chops with garlic, rosemary, and caramelized apples and pears, and a vegetarian Penne Aglio Olio with garlic, kalamata olives, and artichoke hearts. Star at Playhouse Square's hours depend on the theater schedule.

The breakfast menu features several specials, such as Special #3, which includes two hotcakes and two eggs. Lunch includes omelets, sandwiches, burgers, and house specialty entrées like Roast Beef Dinner or Fried Fillet of Perch. Mexico City has the world's most famous "Zocalo," a massive town square in the heart of the city. The name is literally a translation of “base”—as the square houses the base of an abandoned column—but has generally come to mean a town square or meeting place. Downtown Cleveland's Zocalo Mexican Grill and Tequileria took that part of the name as its inspiration. The menu is fairly standard for a Mexican restaurant in the United States, but also features house specialties like Jalisco Steak with spicy Chipotle sauce, or Tacos Pescado with Mahi Mahi, cabbage slaw and guacamole. The guacamole appetizer can be made for the customer at their table, allowing them to customize its ingredients. Zocalo's other attraction is its selection of tequilas and margaritas. Zocalo has dozens of tequilas of increasing quality available by the glass. They also have several different margaritas, such as a Sangria Rita or a Key West with melon and pina colada. Zocalo even offers two different happy hours, one before dinner and one after, with different food and drink options. - Marjorie Jensen

The Greenhouse Tavern's philosophy almost threatens to overshadow descriptions of its fare. The Greenhouse follows the trend of "food-to-plate"—the idea that food tastes better, has lower cost, and is better for the environment the shorter the distance from the farm to the plate. The implied call for simplicity in the food-to-plate philosophy doesn't extend to the menu—even the bread and butter are luxurious, with goat's milk butter. Other specialties include Grilled Summer Ratatouille with eggplant and zucchini, or Steak Frites with beef, romaine, and aioli. Vegetarians and vegans have a chef's option available as well. - Marjorie Jensen
