    Black Taxi

Black Taxi is comprised of four goofballs from Brooklyn who came together in 2007 to play a string of residency shows at a local bar. Over time the guys developed their sound and more and more people started showing up to the venue, to the point where it would eventually reach capacity. The self-proclaimed dance-punks worked hard to write and record Things of That Nature (2009) so that its fan-base would appreciate it. Black Taxi's signature sound comes from its grimy distorted bass tones and layered harmony choruses, but fans really gravitate towards Black Taxi because of its wild stage antics and fun live show.

Hailing from New Orleans, the post rock band Mutemath is known for creating a blend of electro-alternative rock and experimental pop music. After using social media sites to gather attention for its first album, the band released its 2006 eponymous debut LP and embarked on a tour with fellow up-and-coming indie band The Fray. With the release of its music video for "Typical," the band's reach spread further across the world as the track was featured on several television and radio stations as well as in Michael Bay's blockbuster film, Transformers. Mutemath released its most renowned album Armistice, in 2009 before its 2011 effort, Odd Soul, while maintaining its catchy, commercially marketable alternative sound.

Reigning Sound is a garage rock band that was founded in the early 2000s by punk legend Greg Cartwright, who is perhaps best-known for his work with The Oblivians. The band quickly released its debut album Break Up, Break Down, in 2001, capturing a jangly fusion of punk rock riffs and country-tinged melodies. Though the band went on to experiment with threads of pop, classic R&B, psychedelia and soul, Reigning Sound has managed to maintain a signature garage style throughout each of its records, from the loud and raucous Too Much Guitar, to the moody Home For Orphans.
