While this place does not exactly qualify as a cafe (it is located in a Presbyterian church), it does serve coffee and snacks. But the main attraction here is the music. From mellow folk music, to upbeat pop tunes, to modern Christian songs, variety is a sure thing. Each Friday night, the social room of this church is transformed into a pseudo-coffee house. The crowd is primarily young, but not limited to the Christian faith. The church does everything they can to create an open, family-friendly environment.
A year after the establishment of the Pavilion in the Park shopping center in Little Rock, Trio's opened as an informal eatery. Back then, it was known for the wonderfully delicious eclectic cuisine as it is today. If you do visit here, ensure you check out the daily specials before browsing through the menu. Fresh fruits served with yogurt and poppy seeds, or homemade soups are the lightest appetizers you will find. Their signature Chicken Salad comprises tarragon and walnuts and comes with banana bread and 'Mattie's bing cherry jello'! The menu, however, changes very often and seasonal offerings are the best. Trio's own Orange Crush, Watermelon Crawl or Cuban infusion are excellent thirst quenchers.
In true European style, dining at The Pantry is about the experience you have with friends and family. There's no rush, so take your time and chat over a glass of wine. For starters, try the truffled deviled eggs, which are topped with Parmesan crisps. You'll find fantastic beers on tap to complement your food. Don't leave without trying the cheesecake, which is topped with a layer of creme brulee; it's as indulgent as it sounds!
