Redesigned in 1989 by Bob Lohmann, this scenic, semi-private/daily fee, 18-hole course is exciting and challenging, with fairways which vary in width, and water hazards that come into play on at least six holes. It features 6,405 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 69.5 and it has a slope rating of 115. Walking is not allowed until 2 PM on the weekends on this course, so carts are included in weekend green fees. A pro shop and clubhouse are also on-site.
This private old traditional-style course designed by Tom Bendelow, features 9-holes. It has bent grass greens that are fairly small and fast, and narrow tree-lined fairways with 2,975 yards of golf from the longest tees, for a par of 35. The terrain is very hilly with numerous water hazards and sand bunkers that come into play throughout the course.
This private 18-hole championship course features gently sloping moraine hills, and prairie wetlands with oak and hickory, carved out by glaciers. This natural landscape provides one of the most challenging courses in the Midwest.
The W.A.R.P. (Woodstock Aggressive Riders Park) is a 10,000 sq. ft. skate park with ramps, banks, ledges, rails, launch box, and more. It is designed for extreme sports riders of skateboards, in-line rollerblading, and BMS free-style bicycling. A complete arcade and pro-shop is also on-site.
Adventure Golf miniature golf, as well as a full golf practice range are featured at this family-friendly facility. With a driving range, chipping green, and putting green, you can practice your whole golf game, without being on the course. Lessons and a Pro Shop are also offered.
This 9-hole public golf course features 2,290 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 34. Designed by Roger Craig, the golf course, which opened in 1983, has fairways that are mostly open although a few are tree lined. The greens are small and difficult to hit in regulation, while water hazards come into play on at least five holes. The terrain is hilly, but not too difficult to walk.
Not just for golf enthusiasts, this scenic getaway is ideal for a fun trip with the family or a group of friends. This miniature golf course comes complete with a man-made waterfall and lush green carpets of grass. Those who wish to celebrate their birthdays here can do so with help from the friendly staff.
Walnut Greens, operated by Schaumburg Park District, is a challenging nine-hole, par-3 public golf course. It has a unique Killian and Nugent design, making it a perfect setting for players of all ability, including beginners and teens. It is also a great practice course for golfers of all skill levels. Each season Walnut Greens offers a variety of leagues and lessons.
Watch knights on horseback re-enact an 11th century tournament complete with jousting matches and sword fights while feasting on a four-course banquet at the castle of King Alfonso the Magnificent. Admission includes a two-hour show, dinner (which you eat with your hands) and beverages. A cash bar is open throughout the show. There is free parking. Call ahead for timings.
Operated as part of the Schaumburg Park District, this family indoor aquatic park offers fun for the whole family, year round. It offers three water slides, rapid water channel, water playground, diving pool, lap pool, gradual beachlike entry pool, and whirlpool. There is a family changing room and a nursery. Swim lessons and aquatic aerobics classes are offered.
This recreation center operated by the Schaumburg Park District offers a full range of exercise equipment, a gymnasium, indoor track, three racquetball courts, two saunas, a whirlpool, and free-weights. Midwest physical therapy, group fitness classes, massage, and personal training are available.
This family-owned equestrian center offers rding lessons including English (basic dressage, hunt seat and jumping), Western Pleasure, and Driving (miniature horses). Lessons include grooming and saddling (or harnessing), as well as horse care. Limited boarding is available.
