A quirky name for a performance venue but Macaroni Island has an interesting line up of artists from all over the country. This DIY place is the brainchild of friends Michael Briggs and Marshall Rogers where bands on the move across the nation and also locally perform here for an affordable price. Some of their previous listings are New Science Projects, Blackstone Rangers, Two Knights and Week of Wonders.
Spread across 46 acres (16.18 hectares), Apogee Stadium is an avant-garde college football stadium. This eco-friendly facility is a part of the University of North Texas. It features luxury boxes, club seats, a team apparel store and a banquet area.
Since 1997, this huge stadium with an oval track 1.5 miles in circumference and more than 150,000 seats in the Grandstand alone has provided racing lovers with all the thrills they could hope for. This is the second largest racing venue in the United States, behind the Indianapolis 500 Speedway. Events at Texas Motor Speedway include major NASCAR races, car shows and the Thursday Night Stampede, a weekly showcase of local racers. Speedway World offers souvenirs as well as tours of the speedway. The cafeteria is open on racing nights, and the onsite camping grounds can accommodate 6,000 people.

Located in the restored Palace Theater, the Grapevine Opry brings you an exciting Country and Western show every Saturday night. The 500-seat movie theater, constructed in 1940, fell into disrepair after World War II, but was partially restored in 1975. Restoration efforts continue today thanks to the Grapevine Heritage Foundation. Regional performers take the stage here, as well as a few national acts including Willie Nelson, Faron Young, the Judd's and Jeanie Pruitt. Ticket prices vary from $10 and up, depending on the event. The Vault is a state-of-the-art venue at the historic Rock City Hall. This 3000 square-foot (278 square-meter) space features a performance stage, great acoustics and a 299-person capacity. It is versatile for hosting performing arts, private parties, as well as corporate and social events with a unique Rock N’ Roll theme.
Cinemark Tinseltown Grapevine offers comfortable stadium seating and terrific concessions. In addition to the usual popcorn and candy, there are two in-house establishments, Mama Rugi's Pizza and Java Wally's coffee shop. Mama's pizza beats a hot dog anytime, and the espresso is comforting on a cold winter night. In contrast with many mega theaters, parking is not a problem at this location.
