Formerly known as the Rosemont Horizon, Allstate Arena has 18,500 seats and 48 skyboxes and is one of the largest indoor facilities in the Chicagoland market. More than 150 events are staged annually, including musical performers such as the Boston Pops. The arena is also home to many sporting events, with the Chicago Wolves hockey team and the DePaul Blue Demons calling it home. In cooperation with the Skokie Chamber of Commerce and Westfield Old Orchard, Amdur Productions proudly returns with the annual North Shore Festival of Art. This esteemed festival showcases the work of some of the country's finest artists in a variety of mediums including ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, sculpture, mixed media, paintings, drawings, photography, printmaking, wood and furniture. More than 120 juried artists from across the country offer one-of-a-kind pieces at this outdoor exhibition. Once again, the festival takes place in the inner courts of the mall spanning from Nordstrom to Macy's. Festival-goers will enjoy live music on the music stage sponsored by WLIT, great food and art activities for kids. The north end of the festival will be dedicated to young festival-goers with a train, art projects and much more. Art enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to see the masters at work with live art demos and educational booth chats taking place all weekend long.
The current facility of Northlight Theatre was designed by Boston architect, Graham Gund and was made open to public in 1996. The award-winning theatre is known for showcasing brilliant talent in performing arts and has been bringing many acts like The Odd Couple by Neil Simon to people of Skokie. The management here at Northlight is dedicated to promote humanity and compassion through the plays and acts they play host to.
Founded in 1957, Knights of Columbus is located close to the recreational park in Arlington Heights. The venue is used for both business as well as social meetings. You can rent the hall for corporate meetings, weddings, theater, arts, musicals etc. The hall is wheelchair accessible and has a full service bar to cater to clients' requirements for any occasion.
