Sean Jones is modern jazz trumpeter and composer from Warren, Ohio who decided he wanted to become a professional musician after discovering the music of Mile Davis as a fifth grade student. After studying classical trumpet performance at Youngstown University and getting his masters at Rutgers Univesity, he began working as a session musician for various established name, including Joe Lavano, Tia Fuller and Gerald Wilson. As his reputation as an ardent sideman began to grow, he earned the position as lead trumpeter with the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra in 2004, around the same time he released his debut album as band leader, Eternal Journey, with his long-time label Mac Avenue. He ha since continued to perform and record new material with his own group.

Torche is a metal band that emerged out of Miami in 2004. Unlike many metal acts the band demonstrated a wide range of emotions on its 2004 self-titled debut album. With its distinct sound, Torche released its follow-up album Meanderthal, in 2008 to critical acclaim. The album was named number one on Decibel Magazine's list of the Top 40 Extreme Albums of 2008 and earned a rating of over eight stars out of ten from Pitchfork. Torche released it third effort, titled Harmonicraft, in 2012 with Volcom Entertainment.
