The first American orchestra to receive state funding on a continuous basis, the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra was formed in 1932. In its early years, the Symphony served as a WPA project and has continued to serve North Carolina with performances statewide and dedication to providing the state's children with solid musical education. The Symphony was awarded Raleigh's 2007 Medal of Arts on its 75th anniversary of producing exquisite classical music.
Jake Stanczak is an electronic music producer who is known a both Ewun and Kill the Noise. Based in Los Angeles by way of Rochester, NY he has collaborated with several artists including Spor, Evol Intent and the Upbeats but is best known for his solo material. A combination of drum and bass, house and dubstep, his sound often includes hardcore techno and even metal elements.

After not graduating with degrees in creative writing and vocal performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro Paul got married, then divorced, then decided to crash on couches and make jokes, stories, performances pieces and songs his bread and butter, because bread and butter got expensive. Now he is who he is probably as a result of all of that.Paul has won numerous awards for his performances, including (most recently) the 2012 “Best Solo Performance” award from Freeline Media and the 2013 Linda Bowen “Pick of the Fringe” award from the Cincinatti Fringe Festival.“I firmly believe that making people laugh at themselves and think in a new way about their world is a good way to help them escape while, hopefully, gaining some perspective on what they’re escaping from, and distracting them from the fact that I just took their money.”
