Church of the Good Shepherd is a friendly parish formed in 1985. The church was built out of a need to cater to a small group of loyalists who gathered here to study the Bible. The church was formed by pastor David Bowen by the instructions of the Presbyterian Church in America. Since then, this evangelical congregation hasn't looked back, growing bigger with each coming year. It engages with both the communities of Chapel Hill and Durham through sermons, Bible study, events and various local and global outreach programs.

Westminster Presbyterian Church is a relaxed family worship center that has a calender full of community activities to engage in all year round. It tries to do its best to impart education through Sunday school and its Bible studies programs and attracts members of different age groups through these programs. Built and designed in 1843 by ace architect Thomas Walter, the historic church also lends its name to the town of Chapel Hill it lies within.
