Kunitz was twice recognized as the United States Poet Laureate. Through their works and communities, both founders played a huge role in nurturing the development of the country's young talent. This library houses collections from classical times to the post-modern era with a figure of around 50,000 volumes. This place is very active and regularly invites some of the country's most accomplished poets for events and other literary discussions. Here you will also find a children's section that houses an “Inspiration Station,” that encourages little budding minds to write.
