Serving the South Arkansas region, including the cities of El Dorado, Magnolia, and Camden, the South Arkansas Symphony performs five concerts per season, as well as several educational concerts. This professional orchestra also performs several special events, such as the community concert that honors Martin Luther King.
Children's activities, rock climbing, a 10K/5K run/walk, breakfast, museum tours of the Newton House Museum and the Miles House, live bluegrass and folk music, craft vendors, lawn and garden vendors, Mayhaw jelly, a car and bike show, the Wing Ding Chicken Wing Cook-Off, and more is featured for the whole family to enjoy at the annual Mayhaw Festival. The South Arkansas Historical Foundation's Mayhaw Festival is held on the first weekend of May each year on the grounds of the Newton House Museum.
This 22,500 square foot facility houses three visual art galleries, a ballet studio, a 206 seat theatre, educational classroom space, and an open studio for artists in the community.

This celebration is held in El Dorado during the Fourth of July week. It features arts and crafts, a 5K run, an antique car show, a kiddie fun run, games and food and ends with spectacular fireworks at dark!
