Museum of the Kansas National Guard is a museum dedicated to the brave soldiers. This museum showcases various weapons, artifacts, uniforms and more from the history. Spread across 11,000 square feet (1021.9334 square meters), this museum displays various arms and weaponry used by the state’s guardsmen.
Witness the history of aviation as you visit Combat Air Museum. This museum showcases more than 30 aircrafts right from the World War I to the present day. It displays many airplane engines and artifacts from the history of aviation. It is an active aviation ground and claims to have the second longest runway in the state.
The Kansas Museum of History is one of those museums which won't bore you or the children, for here is where you are actually transported back to the past. Right from riding in a real vintage train, to dining in a recreated 1950's style cafe, the interactive displays here will leave you spellbound. Kansas' war-torn and bloody past is well high-lighted in the highly educative installations.
