Originally founded by Vincent Frederick, who fronted the project through various incarnations, The Singles emerged out of Los Angeles as a duo in 2012. With Frederick on guitar and lead vocals and Nicky Veltman on drums and backing vocals, the group owns a garage rock sound laced with elements of power pop, glam, blues and punk. Usually joined by a bassist during live shows, The Singles earned a dedicated following around the Southern California area among audiences who prefer a rawer, rock and roll style.
The Murray State Racers represents the athletic programs and
intercollegiate teams of Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. A member of the NCAA's Division I, the university's teams compete in the Ohio Valley Conference and the Football Championship Subdivision. Murray State's men's basketball program has amassed a celebrated history thanks to regular NCAA March Madness Tournament appearances and once being ranked by ESPN as one of the "Top 30 Basketball Programs in Modern History." Other university-sponsored men's and women's programs include football, baseball, softball, soccer, cross country, tennis, volleyball and golf.
