The monumental East Raleigh-South Park Historic District, in the Raleigh region in North Carolina boasts of being the largest African-American neighborhood in the district. While majority of the houses in this district had been erected midst 1900 to 1940, almost one-fifth homes date back to the 19th Century. The renowned Estey Hall and the Leonard Hall, are historically significant sites. Today, the Raleigh Historic Development Commission identifies, protects, preserves and promotes the historic resources of Raleigh. The north of South Street and the west of East Street, being the oldest regions are a great visit.
