Pretesting is a vital element in the IELTS test development process. Pretesting helps to ensure: our exams are accurate and fair, with each individual item pitched at the right level test content is appropriate and that people from all backgrounds can do equally well. Pretesting gives candidates the opportunity to practice the IELTS test using real ESOL test questions in real-time tests conditions. The test components included in pretesting are Listening, Reading and Writing. We do not currently pretest the Speaking component. Writing papers are marked by genuine IELTS Examiners and candidates will receive feedback on their performance. Results will be expected to be available 6 weeks after the pretest date. Short Stack is a band from Budgewoi, New South Wales, Australia. The band consists of members, Shaun Diviney (lead vocals, electric guitar), Andy Clemmensen (backing vocals, bass), and Bradie Webb (drums, programming). Formed in 2005, the three members met on the train while attending Broadmeadow high school in Newcastle. That year, they played countless amounts of underage gigs, and entered themselves in several battle of the band competitions. One of which being Youthrock, a competition for school-based bands. They failed to pass the first round in 2005, but then returned in 2006 to place 3rd. This was where they met Trevor Steel and Chris Johns of indie label "Sunday Morning Records", who would then go on to sign the band in 2007. Over time Short Stack accumulated a dedicated fanbase of young teenage girls through social networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Their YouTube channel, well known for "Short Stack TV" has won many YouTube awards including "#29 most viewed of all time - Australia". Since the beginning, Short Stack have accumulated many achievements such as; twice being named channel [v]'s Oz Artist of the year, a gold selling album, three top ten singles, aria number one chart award and a platinum selling single. Funeral for a Friend is a post-hardcore band from Bridgend, England that was formed in 2001.During its formative years, the group would play a number of shows around the UK--polishing its sound and refining its approach--before entering the studio to record its 2003 debut LP, Casually Dressed & Deep In Conversation. Though the band's primary fan base resides in England, due to frequent overseas touring, Funeral for a Friend has managed to build up a respectably large following in the US.
