Amadeus Animal Park is a wonderful zoo where it is possible to touch almost all the animals, if you dare. Amadeus offers a wonderful experience for the entire family. No entrance fee for children under the age of three years. Adolescents from 14 years are charged an adult ticket price. Reduced price is offered to handicappers and their assistants. Free parking is offered. You are welcome to bring your own food. Barbecues are available free of use.
Hunderfossen Family Park is one of Norway's biggest tourist attractions. The park's theme is trolls and fairy tales and it offers more than 50 attractions, including a water park! It offers great fun for the entire family. No entrance fee for children with a height below 90 cm. Reduced entrance fee for handicapped people. All rides are included in the entrance admission. Parking offered at NOK40 a day. You are welcome to bring your own lunch. Check website for daily-changing hours.
Lunner kirke is a medieval stone church, located on the hill of Lunnertoppen was built in the 12th Century. The original church consists of a round church tower that was demolished and rebuilt in 1780. The building today is a stone structure with spacious interiors. It functions as a working church of the community and provides regular services for its parishioners.
Said to be built in early 1200s, Eidsvoll kirke is designed in a Romanesque style. An important part of a pilgrimage walk, it is frequented by the pilgrims as well as tourists. Some archaeologists have reasons to believe that the older church was actually built on an already existing one. Throughout the ages the church has been restored many times, more recently in 1885 and later in 1965.
This is one of the oldest glassworks in Norway, situated in beautiful surroundings at Jevnaker by the Randsfjord, approximately one hour's drive from Oslo. Here you can observe the highly skilled glassblowers at work; try your hand at blowing your own glass and visit the very popular factory outlet. Many other activities on the grounds make this an ideal day out for the whole family; facilities include a children's house, a picnic area and several cafés. If you take the E18 out of Oslo in the direction of Hnefoss, you are in for an unexpected bonus - the truly beautiful scenery of Ringerike, with Steinsfjord and Halvdanshaugen, a distinctive burial mound said to be the grave of the Viking king, Halvdan Svarte.
At the Vassfaret Bear Park you can get close to bears, feed elks and touch fuzzy small animals from the area. Enjoy a wonderful and natural experience suitable for all ages at the Bear Park. The entrance fee varies depending on the season. There is a reduced entrance fee for of tickets to the theater performance "Hakkebakkeskogen" on the same day. You are welcome to bring your own food. Gas barbecues are available for free of use. Dog parking is available outside the Bear Park.
