Built on a sandy marsh near the coast, the Glenelg Golf Club was founded in 1927. Today, with its pristine greens, gently undulating fairways and teasing sand traps, the links offers truly challenging golf with a great deal of variety. Not surprisingly, many major amateur championships are played here. The large, modern clubhouse yields splendid views across the links and makes a first-class dining and function facility. As you approach this public golf park by road, there is a chance you will see pelicans cruising lazily on Patawalonga boat harbor. Nice and relaxed: like the style of golf played around here. And with wide, forgiving fairways on the park's two links courses you can almost sense you will have a good round. Booking is required for the par 72 south course but not for the par 72 course, 18-hole course. Refreshments may be taken in the Sprigs Bar of the Westward Ho clubhouse. Club Marion is a non profit establishment aimed at providing sport facilities to the clubs it affiliates as well as the general public. The community gathers within this club for various events. The club is also forms the HQ for the various sports clubs of the Marion Sports and Community Club Inc such as cricket, football, tennis among others. The club has catering facilities, is licensed for poker machines and there are three function rooms available to affiliated clubs. These facilities can be booked for use by the general public.

Sanctuary Surfers specializes in surfing trips for beginners to advanced surfers. They have a deluxe coach bus to travel to the beaches through-out South Australia and even around Australia. During winter, they travel to the Victorian snowfields for snowboarding and skiing. They are a ministry of Sanctuary Christian Ministries.
Explore the streets of Adelaide on a bike without spending a cent. The Adelaide City Council and Bicycle SA are trying to encourage the use of environmentally friendly modes of transport by providing people with free use of a bike for up to two hours. Cyclists are given a bike, helmet and bicycle lock in exchange for handing over their driver's license, proof of identity card or passport for the duration of the hire.
