The Ramlösa spring has been a source of famously pure, healthful water for untold centuries, but it wasn't until the 19th Century that intrepid entrepreneurs began to bottle it and export it. Since then, the brand has grown into a worldwide name and the water is now exported as far away as South Africa and New Zealand. The spring contains a whole complex for tourist enjoyment, viewing facilities, a tour of the factory gift shops and lovely outdoor grounds.
This Scandinavian city surprises you with the number of golf courses that it possesses. A golf-crazy tourist is sure to get his money's worth on a trip to Copenhagen with excellent golf courses like the one at Rungsted Golf Klub. Located in the outlying suburb of Rungsted Kyst, the golf course owes its unique design to C.A. Mackenzie. Its terrain is challenging with trees, shrubs, lakes, streams and the slight all-weather dampness offered by the peat soil. The Klub has been the site of several national and international golf tournaments. Rookies are encouraged to try their hand, so no one feels left out.
Bakken is a popular amusement park, similar to Tivoli, located in the very scenic area of Dyrehaven. Back in the day, people visited Bakken to drink from the Kirsten Piils Spring in order to be cured by its waters. In 1830, the performers and entertainers arrived at Bakken and they have been there ever since. There is an outdoor stage where artists and performers entertain the audience. Best loved perhaps is the clown Pierrot, who performs at his little house several times a day. Pierrot jokes with the children and swallows fire. A visit to Bakken is often combined with a wonderful walk in the marvelous Dyrehaven. Entrance to the park is free, though the purchase of a wristband is necessary to get on the 33 rides in the park.
