Team Spirit is the project of former Passion Pit musician, Ayad Al Adhamy. After a brief hiatus from music, Adhamy rediscovered his guitar and formed a band with his friend and collaborators Roman Tobias Pettigrew, Champagne Dave Weingarten and Cosmo Di Giulio. The four-piece rock and roll outfit creates a guitar-driven brand of power pop that flirts with the garage rock of the 1960s. Team Spirit released its eponymous debut EP in 2012, shortly after releasing its single "Fuck the Beach."

    Julian Casablancas + The Voids

As lead singer for the New York garage rock revival outfit The Strokes, Julian Casablancas was the the epitome of everyone's idealized notion of what a front man should be. His rock star swagger and flippant attitude toward the music industry worked perfectly and cememted his place in rock history. In 2009, during The Strokes' hiatus, Casablancas released an album of solo material which is clearly influenced by a nolstalgic '80s electronic sound and is made up of more free-flowing songs than his hits The Strokes.
