The park was established in 1982 to conserve the unique ecosystem created around the river, and today boasts of a rich diversity of native flora and fauna.     »Parque Passaúna

    »Parque General Iberê de Mattos

    Also known as Parque Bacacheri, this little park is a popular recreational area among locals. The park was opened to the public in 1988, before which it was a privately owned recreation area. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll around the park with the walking trails or spend the evening by the scenic little lake. There's also a play area for volleyball and soccer. Facilities at the park including barbecue stands, water kiosks and a cafeteria.

Named after the indigenous tribes that once settled in the region, the park has stellar natural features including a lake and native flora and fauna.
