Downtown Main Street Historic District is located in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. It is a historic district with 29 building which adds to the character of the place. Some of the architectural styles featured here include Early Commercial and Classical Revival. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 9, 2003.
The Wilkesboro vicinity in the U.S. State of North Carolina is endowed with one of the finer church sites in the name of the Wilkesboro Presbyterian Church. It is a monumental Presbyterian church and was constructed from the year 1849 through 1850. The vintage church structure brilliantly traces the Greek Revival style of architecture and stands listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The St. Paul's Episcopal Church is a historic church located in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Built in 1848, the church building is an excellent example of Gothic Revival style of architecture and features red brick exteriors, lancet style windows, high angled gabled roofs and a gabled portico. The church grounds also include a cemetery. The structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
The Trinity Episcopal Church in Mt. Airy is a community that is contributing towards the betterment of its people. Established in 1896, the building of the church is said to be one of the oldest granite structure. The church uses the Book of Common Prayer to connect to god. After the reconstruction, the building has a new parish hall. Also there is space for Sunday school classes and meetings.
