The Stone Mountain State Park is a scenic park encompassing an area of 13,747 acres (5563.21 hectares). The main attraction at this park is the Stone Mountain which is a centerpiece of the entire area. The mountain is a 600 feet (183 meter) dome shaped granite belonging to the Devonian age. The park has recreational opportunities like hiking and fishing. The picturesque views that the park has to offer are breathtaking.
Open year round, this 18 hole, par 71 public course offers a challenge to golfers of all skill levels because of its rolling terrain.
Mountain bikers will enjoy the four mile trail at this park that is technically challenging and somewhat strenuous and features steep climbs and descents, as well as log and creek crossings. The course is divided into two sections for the beginner or the advanced biker.
Built in 1972, this beautiful 18 hole, par 72 semi-public golf course is located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains and features plush Bermuda fairways and bent grass greens.
This nine hole, par 36 public golf course was built in 1957 and has a very challenging design. The course is open year round and has small greens.
