Bristol Oaks Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course. Opened in 1964, it is set on a subtle rolling landscape. Lined with trees and water features, this link will test the skills of an experienced golfer. It also a practice field for amateurs to hone their game.
The Wilmot Mountain is a magnificent ski area, swanked by as many as 25 runs and 5 terrain parks. It is primly located at the Kenosha County in Wisconsin. Comparatively a small hill, it stands as a fine recreational avenue with terrific runs spread over a massive 120 acres (0.49 square kilometers) skiable area. One can also indulge in snowmaking and stellar night skiing. It ably arranges for alpine racing and snow tubing. The Iron Kettle Banquet is an enticing hall and the site also brags of two bar areas.
Designed by the world famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, S. C. Johnson and Son Administration Building and Research Tower is also known as Johnson Wax Headquarters. This administrative building was built in 1936, while the research tower in 1944. Wright used his unique style and created a structure with curvilinear forms and a huge work space supported with multiple dendriform (tree-like) columns. Wright was later commissioned the design for the Research Tower, which also resembles spread-out branches of a tree. The furniture designed by Frank is still in use by the office employees. In 1976, both the visually-striking buildings were recognized National Historic Landmark. This awe-inspiring design is worth visiting in Wisconsin.
Located 32 miles (52 kilometers) outside of Chicago, the Middlefork Savannah Forest Preserve is a beautiful piece of forest and grasslands. This ecological research and education site serves as an outdoor classroom to local schools and universities as well as a natural recreation area. Open to the public, the reserve offers a variety of activities to the outdoor enthusiast from hiking and bicycling and is perfect for an afternoon picnic. In the winter time, the preserve turns into a popular cross-country skiing location. Located throughout are trailside exhibit panels, an education center, windmill and children's maize. Be advised, in order to protect the wildlife, no dogs are allowed.
Located about 30 minutes southeast of Milwaukee, the Muskego Lakes Country Club is right near the lake of the same name and is one of the best golf resorts ensconced in one of the most picturesque parts of the state. The course has been in business for over 40 years and the banquet halls have seen many Wisconsinites celebrate some of their most hallowed events, from weddings to bat mitzvahs, it is more than just a golf club. In addition to rental space, the club has live music on certain nights and the quintessential Fish Fry on Friday. As for the golf, the course features 18 holes over pristine greens that are great for both beginner and novice levels.
