Unnatural History: The Odd and Remarkable Dioramas of Lori Nix
Academy of Natural SciencesJuly 29, 2014
    1900 Benjamin Franklin Parkway
    Philadelphia, PA 19103

Lori Nix created with her 2009 project, Unnatural History: The Odd and Remarkable Dioramas, an art series about the gab between the expected experience in a science or history museum and the reality. The little dioramas reflect on a normal scene in a museum with a humorous and displaced look. Nix found inspiration for this sculpture series by visiting the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
