Home to the nationally recognized Julian Krinsky School of Golf, Valley Forge Golf Club features a beautiful 18-hole public golf course and a state-of-the-art driving range.
Whether you're coming to watch a game or attend a graduation ceremony, you cannot miss the Pavilion's unusual paraboloid roof. Built in 1996, it's the official home ground of the Villanova Wildcats. Primarily a sports arena, it offers a vast array of facilities for athletes. There are four multipurpose courts, which are used for basketball, tennis as well as volleyball. You'll also find a five-track field and a long jump pit. The Pavilion hosts concerts, trade shows, college fairs and high school graduations. Sporting events, such as the Advanta International Tennis Championship and the NCAA Championship events are also held here.
One of the first indoor climbing facilities in the United States, the more than 7,000 square foot PRG Oaks includes 1,500 square feet of bouldering, more than 30 top-ropes, 2,000 square feet of leadable surface, indoor teambuilding elements, private room rentals and a pro shop.
The Moses Coates Jr. Farm consists of a 350-acre (141-hectare) land that encompasses a nine-hole golf course, a barn, a carriage house and two spring homes. The verdant landscape makes it a picturesque sight. This Georgian house has also served as a quarters for American officers during the American Revolution. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Schuylkill Canal is relevantly referred as the Schuylkill Navigation. Occupying great historic significance, the site is a 19th Century commercial waterway. It was constructed from 1815 through 1827. It was however later closed down in 1947. The historical waterway is located along the Schuylkill River in Pennsylvania. It was a highly utilized avenue for transportation of bulk cargo. The two watered reaches that remain even today are under recreation. The site stands registered on the National Register of Historic Places.
