Arts & Museums
Located in one of only four Russian built structures remaining in the US today, this museum features many Aleut, Alutiiq, and Russian artifacts.
Established in 1995, the Alutiiq Museum & Archaeological Repository has preserved artifacts of Alaska's Alutiiq people, and helped keep public interest alive by regularly organizing educational outreach programs, interactive discussions and presentations. Watch the eskimo culture come alive amid these stunning exhibits that include old photographs, archaeological excavations and more.
A large supply of artifacts and exhibits are on display at this museum including artillery shells, uniforms, flags, aircraft parts, books, newspapers, and a Japanese fire hydrant.
