Woody Pines is a folk outfit from Oregon that specializes in playing hillbilly andAppalachia-influenced music. The group released its debut albumCountingAlligators, in 2009 and the LP managed to seep into the American folk music scene quite deeply--attracting a decent amount of fans. Opting to not dazzle fans withvirtuosticsolos or pointless instrumentalnoodling, Woody Pines instead opts to treat listeners to floor stomping choruses and easy to like vocal melodies.

»Colby Dee

January 31, 2015 8:30 PM

Billboard say Colby Dee is one of the fastest rising females in the format.” Colby Dee has been identified as “One to Watch” by CMChat, Got Country, Dirty Kind of Country and Country Rise. Billboard has featured her twice, and iTunes Editors have given her a “New & Noteworthy” nod for her two singles and her debut EP, “Missed the Exit.” This 23 year old singer-songwriter blends the traditions of country music with a vibe of contemporary country, yet with a powerful sound that is all her own. Colby Dee has been singing since she was 7, when her first public performance was singing the national anthem in front of more than 7,000 fans at a professional hockey game. This dual citizen was born in Canada, lived from coast-to-coast, but was primarily raised in Georgia and considers it “home.” She now resides in Nashville, songwriting and play around town, while not on the road to share her music across the country.
