    Winery and Waterfall Tour
    Winery + Waterfall Tour - Customized ToursAugust 20, 2014 10:15 AM
    325 5th Avenue North
    Seattle, WA 98109
On this six-hour tour, you'll ride in comfort across Lake Washington via Seattle's famous 7,700 foot-long Evergreen Point floating bridge to Woodinville in the heart of Western Washington's winery region. The area is widely recognized as America's No. 2 wine region and produced the world's No. 1 wine for 2010, as voted by readers of "Wine Spectator" magazine. The bus will stop for tastings at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery as well as at one other winery, most commonly Januik, Columbia or one of the other area favorites. After lunch, your roomy tour bus or van will take you through lush rural Northwest scenery like the rolling Cascade mountain foothills, past horse ranches and beautiful flower farms en route to the spectacular 270-foot Snoqualmie Falls. Along the way, you'll stop at Boehm's Chocolate Factory in Issaquah for a taste of their treats. The return journey to Seattle goes over Lake Washington on the Interstate 90 Lacey V. Murrow Memorial Bridge, the world's third-longest floating bridge.

Angels In America, Part 1: Millennium Approaches
    Cornish PlayhouseAugust 20, 2014 1:30 PM
    201 Mercer Street
    Seattle, WA 98109
In an age when "epic" stories are usually reserved for blockbuster franchises, "Angels in America" proves that some of the most fantastic, most panoramic, most important sagas can still be told live on stage -- no CGI required. Now experience the first part of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer-winning play presented by the 2014 Intiman Theatre Festival. "Part 1: Millennium Approaches" follows two very different but equally troubled young New York couples whose fates become intertwined. Sparks fly as the play's large and sharply-drawn cast (which ranges from the diabolical lawyer Roy Cohn to an actual angel) clash over the personal, the political and the theological. Made into a HBO mini-series with Al Pacino and Meryl Streep, "Angels in America" now comes to Seattle in a vibrant new production directed by Andrew Russell.
