Florida Air Museum is a museum as well as education center that preserves and showcases the fascinating history of the aviation industry and the passion of flight. Located in Bartow, it is preserved as a museum to educate the masses on the contribution made by African-American people to Florida’s history. It spans across nearly 1700 square foot (157 square meters) and contains nine rooms. A perfect destination for tourists and visitors, it is replete with heavy Victorian ornamentation. What looks like an elegant green cottage on the outside, is a even more spacious and breathtaking house from its interiors.
The Old Dundee ACL Railroad Depot is a historic landmark housing a museum that showcases the heritage of the local railroad. It displays original memorabilia and historical artifacts that offer a glimpse of the local history. The museum is free of cost, but is open for limited hours. Built in 1912, the building is featured on the National Register of Historic Places.
