Danny Avila
Mynt MartiniDecember 20, 2014 9:00 PM
511 Walnut Street
Cincinnati, OH 45202
At a young age, Spanish-born Danny Avila felt a strong pull towards music. After finagling his way into some of Madrid's hottest dance clubs at the ripe age of 12, to watch electronic luminaries like Afrojack, David Guetta and Fedde le Grand crush audiences, young Avila knew he wanted to pursue making dance music for a living. Spending time in the night club trenches, Avila managed to soak up a plethora of information that helped the aspiring beatsmith hone and polish his evolving approach to composition. Announcing his arrival on the electronic world with his 2012 single "Breaking Your Fall"--a rhythmically driven, electrohouse floor stomper--Avila has quickly become a golden boy of the scene with numerous residencies at some of Europe's most well known clubs including multiple night stays at the mecca of electronic dance music: Ibiza.

After receiving accolades for its debut album in 1991, the duo toured with Bob Dylan and other notable folk acts, allowing the band to build a solid fan base. As the group continued to hone its sound, it grabbed the attention of other prominent musicians who offered to produce or make guest appearances on Over the Rhine's albums.
