»Mike's Tavern

Located between two universities, you’d think Mike’s Tavern would be full of rowdy kids watching college sports, but it is a surprisingly calm and relaxing place. It is an old neighborhood bar, and although it has gone through several owners, it has never lost its local charm or steady regulars. The food is pretty good, especially the burgers and fish and chips. They have a side dish of curry fries that is hard to beat. The drink prices are fair, and the ambiance mellow and fun. -Robin Sontheimer
