Everything that they offer here is made fresh every morning using authentic French standards. The ambiance at Aux Pains de Papy is very cozy and the decor with its wooded flooring and yellow lights gives the place a rustic charm. Their staff is very polite and extremely friendly which enhances the overall experience here. They have limited seating, so the best way to enjoy their coffees and baguettes is by taking them out and devouring them at the nearby park.

Tucked away behind King's Cross Thameslink Station, this café/restaurant/bar is located in an unusual converted Victorian warehouse setting, a previously derelict mechanic's workshop. With a huge picture of a train entering a station covering one wall, it has a pleasant atmosphere and good wine list. Popular with local workers, it serves a seasonal lunch menu on weekdays with excellent tapas in the evenings; take your pick from Char-grilled Haloumi in Vine Leaf and Chicken Satay with Peanut Dip, or select any four for a reasonable price.
