Since nothing can be more easier and relaxing than a walk in the park, the management here has taken care to build the walkways in a wheelchair-friendly fashion. Thus, ensuring that the garden is enjoyed by all. 16 acres boast different types of gardens with various themes and inspirations. The admission is free, assuring no dearth of visitors. Once the visiting hours are over, the gate is shut and people have to exit over a quaint turn-stile which can be a pretty interesting experience for city dwellers.

»Lake Monona

This freshwater lake in Madison is the second largest of the city's four lakes, at 3,274 acres (1.21 hectares). The lake was originally named by the Winnebago people "Teepee Lake," although Monona is thought to be a Chippewa word meaning "beautiful." The lake is popular for recreational activities like fishing and boating, although the lake stays frozen for a large part of the year.
