Wine 101: The Gathering Place is an interesting bar/wine tasting room concept, located in a tiny strip mall randomly nestled into an entirely residential neighborhood. You have to really look to find the place, and it could be easily overlooked. That said, this is a great place if you really love your wine, and, as the name implies, makes a great gathering place for you and your fellow wine connoisseurs. But even if you're not a wine expert, the staff is exceptionally well educated and will teach you about the wines without putting on airs as "expert sommeliers", they're more like well educated friends. Wine 101 doesn't serve meals, but does provide small plates of meats, cheeses, and sweets to compliment your wine selections.
