»Free Women In Wealth Training Coming To Toronto January 31st

January 31, 2015 10:30 AM

Tigrent Learning today announced 2 upcoming Women in Wealth real estate workshops coming to the greater Toronto area.  Women In Wealth is designed to empower women with the knowledge, tools and confidence they need to take command of their financial future. Focused on real estate as a strategy for securing financial gain, the program premiered in the United Kingdom in 2008. Due to its track record of success, Tigrent Learning Canada is bringing back the Canada-specific program, with two 2-hour free events in the greater Toronto area.  The Canadian Women In Wealth team consists of women who have experienced success in at least one of the following areas: real estate, financial markets or entrepreneurship. Many of them started out as Tigrent Learning students and have developed into trainers and mentors with Tigrent Learning Canada. Each of them has realized the critical role financial education has played in their lives and desire to give back to other women through their teaching and mentoring.  Tigrent Learning helped me better understand my internal and external financial compass, stated Katie OBrien, a trainer at Tigrent Learning. They gave me the direction I needed to find personal fulfillment and financial success and pass it to others. Women can create a lasting impact through personal wealth. But most importantly, women need to believe that they are capable of creating wealth in their lifetime. The Women In Wealth program will help Canadian women with this goal.  At the core of the Women In Wealth program is the belief that financial education is the key to financial freedom. The workshops will reveal real estate strategies used by other successful women investors and there is no charge to attend.  Following are the dates and locations for the upcoming Toronto area workshops:  Saturday, January 31, 2015 Marriott Toronto Airport 901 Dixon Road Toronto, ON M9W 1J5 10:30 am  Saturday, February 7, 2015 Delta Hotel 50 East Valhalla Drive Markham, ON L3R 0A3 10:30 am  To see a complete list of upcoming Canadian workshops or to learn more about the Women In Wealth brand, please visit the Women In Wealth site.  Additional products and services will be offered at our workshops.

»Jersey Boys

January 31, 2015 2:00 PM

Jersey Boys is a musical based on the lives of Frankie Valli and the members of The Four Seasons. The documentary-style musical follows the group's rise to fame in the early days of rock 'n' roll, with standards like "Walk Like a Man" and "Big Girls Don't Cry" filling out a smash-hit soundtrack. Shedding light on the struggle and glory of the young musical icons, the show travels back to 1960s America in big Broadway fashion, nailing the art of the period musical and breathing newlife into the story behind the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees.

Born Joseph Poole, he began his music career in 1992 as guitarist for the band Mizery before becoming the lead singer of Maniac Spider Trash, which he eventually left to start Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13. After five studio albums and a handful of EPs between 1996 to 2002, Poole moved on to join Murderdolls. His Wednesday 13 moniker followed shortly after when Murderdolls went on a temporary hiatus in 2004 and Pool decided to embark on a solo tour of the UK with members of Death Becomes You. Upon his return, he constructed a permanent band and lent the project his Wedneday 13 name. Since Wednesday 13's debut album Transylvania 90210, released in 2005, the band has been steadily offering releases to hoards of punk and metal fans while Poole continues to find time for his other projects.

»Owen Pallett

January 31, 2015 2:00 PM

Classically trained violinist Owen Pallett, took up the violin at age 3 and had composed his first piece by age 13. Continuing his pursuit of the violin, the Toronto native studied his instrument of choice at university while scoring several operas and films. Becoming entangled in the Canadian indie music scene, Pallett next began writing the string orchestrations and providing the violin work for many notable bands on their albums, including Arcade Fire, Beirut, Arctic Monkeys and Fucked Up, all while developing his own solo indie rock career under the guise of Final Fantasy. Pallett received much acclaim for these collaborations and his solo work, winning the Polaris Prize in 2006--though he was uncomfortable winning an award sponsored by a cellular corporation and gave all the winnings to financially unstable bands he was a fan of. Since then, Pallett has dropped the Final Fantasy moniker, desiring to disassociate himself from the video game series he took the name from, now going by his given name. Pallett is best known for his live performances, which consist of him playing the violin and singing into a loop pedal, giving him the ability to layer string arrangements and vocals, as well as lending him the title of a live act not to be missed.
